During the Opening Session at this years NAB show in Las Vegas, Michael J. Fox was honored with the annual NAB 2010 Distinguished Service Award. Beside his achievements as actor & writer, NAB President Gordon H. Smith lauded Michael J. Fox' tireless fight against Parkinson's disease, by which the actor himself in the meantime is seriously diseased.

Since it's creation in 2000, the Michael J. Fox Foundation raised more than 175 Millionen Dollars in donations for researches against Parkinson's disease (PD). About his dedication in the fight against PD, Michael J. Fox said: "I am a man blessed with two careers" - because next to his career as an actor he considers his illness a second career, which, thanks to his popularity, gains more attraction by the public and which might help one day - and hopefully will cure - millions of people with PD.

Michael J. Fox is not only just in the fictional world of the movies a hero. Furthermore he is a hero in real life.

From April 10 - 15, NAB Show 2010 will open its gates at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

The NAB Show (National Association of Broadcasters) is the largest broadcasting, motion picture and Digital Cinema fair of the world. Beside a large exhibition with more than 1500 exhibitors, the NAB Show offers a huge spectrum of seminars and conferences that cover all aspects of film- and video production, content distribution as well as picture reproduction.

On October 31st, 2009, WLC had the opportunity to give an interview in the online TV show "VISIONER" on dished.tv. During the interview, Marcel Gonska, Owner of WLC, talked with moderator Tim Feldner about the trends in the FPTV domain, quality issues regarding different HD formats like 1080i and 720p as well as technology developments like 3D-TV and Dolby TrueHD/DTS HD Master Audio.
